Well I am truly sorry I haven't posted anything on here in a while, but it has been such a crazy month! With being on BBC Hereford & Worcester Radio and in the Worcester News with a double spread all in aid of promoting our Worcester Extravaganza event! As well as organising & hosting the 2 events in one day, it certainly has been a crazy few weeks getting it all ready!
So let me tell you all about what Funk Trunk has been up to...
BBC Hereford & Worcester Radio - 04-09-15
So to promote our big Extravaganza event, I was on BBC Hereford & Worcester Radio Station, on the Breakfast Show with Elliot Webb! I was soooo nervous, and on a bank holiday I just wanted to be in bed at 8.30am! But the show must go on, so I dragged myself to the Station in Worcester, thanking god that it was a radio interview and the public wouldn't be able to see me! The interview was lively and had a great time in the studio, I also got the chance to give Elliot Webb, the presenter of the show a vintage make over! He was totally up for it, even he did refer to vintage as...jumble!! JUMBLE! After I forgave him for that, I handed him one of my favourite shirts. The denim shirt with the brown faux leather patches defiantly suited Mr Webb, and the Pig Skin hat with red feather set off the outfit! Even though he said he felt like an old man, I thought he looked good and defo got the Funk Trunk stamp of approval! To watch the first part of the interview CLICK HERE to the video on our Facebook!

After an hour long interview with the lovely feature writer from the Worcester News the day before, Funk Trunk was very happy with the lengthy and lovely story of Funk Trunk Vintage!

Worcester Pop Up Shop/Launch Party Extravaganza Event - 09/05/15
Funk Trunk's Worcester Extravaganza Event was held at the Pheasant Pub on New Street, on Saturday 9th May 2015! It was such an amazing day and night and the response I got, blew me away! It took me a week to recover from the whole event and the weeks of prep and organisation that went in to it completely wore me out!
In the day we had the Pop Up Shop, with 2 large tables full of vintage accessories from amazing earrings to unisex sunglasses & scarves, and 3 6ft Rails of Vintage Clothing for Women & Men, there was so much to choose from, you lucky lot! There was bunting, balloons, and whatever I could get my hands on covering all of the walls and fairy lights all along the ceiling , I made sure that when you entered through the glittery curtain door, it was like a Funk Trunk Vintage Grotto! With lots to look at, try on and have fun with, like the Photo booth, which was a massive hit...especially at the Launch Party! We even had a blow up palm tree, so you cant say that we didn't try!
Overall the Pop up Shop did unbelievably well, we had the best day ever! We met some lovely customers, new and old and had a chance to get my stock out there and get people involved in my business, which is what I wanted from day 1! After the Pop up shop, we were all ready to have a large drink and a boogey....time for the big LAUNCH PARTY!
The Launch party in the evening was such a great night, with friends, family, customers and even a few random drunk men getting involved it was an amazing turn out! I had such a fabulous night, the DJ's were playing the best music, the photo booth was used all night long, as you can see from the photographs below! We all danced until the early hours when the Pheasant closed, the whole day and night was such a success I couldn't ask for anymore!
